I'm off to a training seminar

I am about to leave for a three day training seminar on combating human trafficking. The seminar will be presented by Dan Werner, a very nice guy whom I met this week.

I just learned that I will not have internet - so I wanted to just post what I have written, without taking the time to upload photos, and without a detailed post about the last three days: attending a program on accountability for information pertaining to foreign aid projects, a training session on negotiation with mining companies, and the memos that I have written.

Recreationally, Dan, Avilash (a representative from an organization that monitors the Asian Development Bank) and I went out for a few drinks with six CHRD staffers (all female) on Tuesday night. On Monday, before Nancy went home, CHRD folks took  Avilash and one of his colleagues, Dan, and Nancy and me  out to dinner at  a Mongolian grill.

Last night, I went back to the square: Dan videotaped it, and posted the videos on youtube:

Part I (Chess, The Musical):  http://youtu.be/Wvfk4zuPLL8

Part II (chess as a contact sport):  http://youtu.be/GWE2EaZ1bsU

Chess hustling in Mongolia is too aggravating: once again I got stiffed on the games that I won, and in the game  that I lost, I was a up a Bishop and two pawns with a strong position when I just lost concentration - the videos show why.
